Digital Media Literacy through Education and Digital Storytelling.

Bridging visual arts, technology, and education, Luiza advocates for digital media literacy through creative practices, highlighting the role of emerging technologies and digital media applications in shaping everyday life, learning experiences, and social interactions.
Her work is deeply informed by her lived experiences as a millennial and foreigner, navigating cultural adaptation, hyper-connectivity, and the fragmented realities of the digital age. She examines how digital applications mediate identity, community, and isolation, offering nuanced perspectives on the paradoxes of our increasingly interconnected world. She has taught courses on media production, digital culture, and film & video editing, while also serving as a digital media specialist for faculty development, assisting educators to meaningfully engage with emerging technology tools in their teaching experiences.
Luiza has exhibited her multimedia and video artwork at galleries and festivals both nationally and internationally. As a speaker, she has presented at notable events, including TEDx, the Public Relations Society of America, and various academic conferences, where she shares her insights on digital media’s evolving impact on communication and society. She frequently partners with other artists, filmmakers, and educators to explore the potential of emerging technology in storytelling and learning.
